Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to be reunited with former Juventus team-mate Wojciech Szczesny, with Al-Nassr lining up a €40 million transfer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The former Arsenal goalkeeper is, according to , poised to bring a seven-year stint in Turin to a close. The 34-year-old was said to be keen on staying put this summer, but has seen a deal agreed that will see Michele Di Gregorio join the Bianconeri from Monza.

Szczesny was initially reluctant to consider a switch to Saudi Arabia, but has been talked around by the terms on offer. The two-year contract being put to him by Al-Nassr is reportedly worth €19 million (£16m/$20m) per season.

A €40m (£34m/$43m) transfer fee will change hands, despite the Poland international being 34 years of age and having only 12 months left to run on his current deal. Juve cannot afford to turn that kind of money down, with Szczesny being nudged towards the exits at Allianz Stadium as a result.

Talks were said to have stalled at one stage, but they are now back on and Szczesny is expected to complete his move in a matter of days – with Poland destined to crash out of Euro 2024 at the group stage. The experienced keeper will be joining the likes of Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte and Marcelo Brozovic in Riyadh.
